A long title for a mad-fantastic evening of Burlesque at the Rolling Stock Bar in Shoreditch. Tempest Rose’s House of Burlesque hosted their latest fresh show “Harry Potter and the Rhinestone Merkin”.
Vaguely based on Harry Potter it was a crazy evening of top quality burlesque and cabaret. It was a once only show, which was so good that you really shouldn’t have missed it.

Hot, Steamy and full of excitement, and that was just the Hippodrome theatre, July saw the latest heat of Burlesque Idol. With only one more heat before the final the pressure was on for the performers to secure their place in November’s prestigious competition.
The competition was amazing, some of the acts were former House of Burlesque school of Burlesque graduates, some came from Burlesque circuits around the country. All of them were utterly amazing.
I particularly liked Purisa Kat’s amazing reverse strip
And Champagne Bubble’s political Burlesque.
These acts really caught my attention and the crowd really caught on quickly to what they were trying to say.
For shear chutzpah Petit Pois really stole the show as she went on to win with her cheeky act
For challenging, you only had to look at Valentino de Labaise and his Boylesque act
