On the 13th July I spent the day taking photographs of the anti-Trump demos which took place in London.
I was expecting some conflict, that would come later and will be the subject of another blog post, but in fact is was a sunny day, full of sunny people who wanted to express their displeasure at the British government’s invite of the US President to London.
I hadn’t realised that there were actually 2 demos on the 13th – nor as it turned out had one of my friends who had travelled up from Somerset to attend the demo. The first demo was the Womens’ Demo, organised by womens’ groups and was predominantly female and LGBTQ and ended in Parliament Square. Then this was followed by the much large Stop Trump Demo which was a more cross gender and party affair, although I didn’t see many Tories against Trump posters.
Here are some edited highlights of the Womens’ Demo
The main demo was much more populous and there were many more posters and people to photograph.
If you like what you see, you can see the whole set – there are a lot of pictures – here
